Updated—Suspension of In Person Voting for August Election

WEC Alert–UPDATED JULY 2, 2020:
- The below changes will occur once The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has issued a mandate related to its ruling in the One Wisconsin Institute case, requiring several changes to election laws and procedures. We expect the below changes to go into effect on or around July 21st, 2020
- In-Person Absentee voting for the August 11 Partisan Primary must cease until Tuesday, July 28.
- The voter registration residency requirement is now 28 days.
- Clerks may no longer fax or email absentee ballots to regular absentee voters. Only military and overseas (permanent and temporary) voters may still receive ballots by fax or email.
