Spring Election- April 5, 2022

The Spring Election on April 5, 2022 will come before you know it. We want to ensure that everyone knows important dates related to voter registration, absentee ballot requests and returning of absentee ballots per the Wisconsin Elections Commission:
March 8, 2022: Last day to acquire residency in the Town of Mercer. IF you move to Mercer after that date you will need to vote using your previous address.
March 15, 2022: Absentee ballots will be mailed out to all that have requested a ballot as of that date
March 16, 2022: Last day to register to vote via online or via the mail.
March 23, 2022: In person voting open in the Clerk’s office during regular business hours
March 31, 2022: Last day for regular voters to request an absentee ballot. We would not suggest to wait this long as we can nor guarantee how quickly it will arrive and be returned in time via the postal service.
April 1, 2022: Last day for in person registration and in person voting. Office will be open until 5PM
April 5, 2022: Election Day at the Community Center 7AM-8PM
April 5, 2022: All absentee ballots need to be turned into the Clerk’s office (by 2PM) or Community Center (by 8PM).

Please go to the Wisconsin Election Commission’s website myvote.wi.gov

WHERE DO I RETURN MY ABSENTEE BALLOT?
1. Mail back to us with the enclosed envelope– make sure to sign, date and have a witness sign the envelope!!
2. Drop off in the town hall office when open.
3. DROP SLOT IS NOT AVAILABLE for ballot return per Wisconsin Elections Commission

CAN I TRACK MY BALLOT?
Yes, go the myvote.wi.gov to see if we received your absentee ballot request, mailed it to you and received it back from you.
